Release Year: 2011
Features harpist Georgia Kelly and flute and horn player, Richard Hardy. This is an enormously appealing album that includes such favorites as the ever-popular “Gymnopedies” by Eric Satie (performed on harp and alto sax), “Evergreen,” and “The Rose” (harp solos). Two very romantic original pieces for harp and woodwinds complete the program. Their performance is relaxed, earthy, and sensuous, and much of the credit can be given to Richard Hardy for his superb performance and versatility as a woodwind player.
Harp & Soul includes the popular cover tunes “Evergreen” and “The Rose” and classical favorites like “Gymnopedies” by Eric Satie. Also included, a lyrical piece for harp and flute and a haunting duet for harp and clarinet.
