Tarashanti

The title piece means Starpeace in Sanskrit and is one of Georgia’s favorite performance selections for solo harp. Tarashanti combines an Indian raga with the more familiar sounds of Western harmonies. The other featured piece, “Marupavana” (“purifying wind of the desert”), is an evocative duet for harp and flute that depicts a peaceful and sensuous desert night.
